Solaray offers an innovative form of vitamin C: liposomal vitamin C. Liposomal vitamin C has the property of being highly absorbable by our body.
Solaray's liposomal vitamin C is derived from Ascorbyl Palmitate (esterified vitamin C), which is a fat-soluble form of vitamin C. This means it dissolves in fats. Since our cell membranes are composed of fats, this allows for optimal absorption of vitamin C into our tissues, where it can then deliver its full activity and effectiveness.
In addition to its beneficial effect on fatigue , liposomal vitamin C has the unique characteristic of possessing powerful antioxidant properties. It thus helps protect the body's tissues against oxidative stress.
Solaray used a biotechnological process by assembling ascorbyl palmitate (which is an ester of ascorbic acid) and palmitic acid giving a fat-soluble form to vitamin C.
