Aesthetic fractional radiofrequency is a technique that combats skin aging and sagging in a non-invasive way, using a low electromagnetic current applied via a handpiece to deliver deep heating. more effective subcutaneous tissue and cellular bio-stimulation, therefore fewer sessions needed and more lasting results.

It is primarily intended for people with moderate skin laxity on the face (which generally appears from the fourth decade onwards), but also to treat certain parts of the body which tend to sag, particularly after significant weight loss (underarms, stomach, buttocks).

Thus, the main indications are:

  • Skin laxity of the face (oval, neck, jowls)
  • Skin laxity on the body (arms, stomach, buttocks)
  • Treatment of fine lines and shallow wrinkles
  • Mild to moderate acne scars
  • Enlarged pores (pore tightening effect comparable to a peel)
  • Old stretch marks

Procedure for the treatment

After applying a conductive gel to the skin, a very slight thermal peak sensation is felt after each shot via a handpiece.

Contraindications

Radiofrequency technology is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Wearing a pacemaker
  • Active skin infection
  • Unhealed wound in the area treated
  • Pregnancy
  • History of hypertrophic scarring

A minimum of 2 sessions is recommended, and 3 to 4 sessions are generally observed.
The sessions will be spaced 2 weeks to 1 month apart depending on each individual's skin.

This treatment can be perfectly combined with alternating sessions of Microneedling, Aquapure, LED, etc.

The treatment includes:

-Preparing the skin for treatment (makeup removal, cleansing the skin using an aqua-facial)

-Fractional radiofrequency

-A suitable post-treatment mask

A LED session performed immediately after radiofrequency not only improves the results obtained, but also effectively limits immediate after-effects.

A moisturizing cream applied immediately after the LED session and kept on for 12 to 24 hours.

Sunscreen with an SPF of 50 is mandatory until healing (between 24 and 72 hours).

Makeup can be applied to the skin the next day.

On the day of the session and the following day, intense sporting activity, sauna, steam room and direct sun exposure should be avoided.

Skin improvements can begin to be seen quickly one week after the treatment, but especially after 1 month, given the production of new collagen, improvements continue for up to 3 months after the session.

Suitable for anyone concerned with maintaining a firm facial contour or regaining firmer skin, on all skin types and phototypes.

The after-effects of radiofrequency treatment

The after-effects are very mild and can last from a few hours to a few days (24-48h): skin warming, redness, slight swelling and scabs in some cases.
