Discover our Detox Menu by B&C

by Siham Picart

Detox is simply about providing our body with what it needs to allow it to eliminate toxins accumulated over months or years and to recharge its batteries effectively.

Our bodies sometimes become saturated with toxins that prevent them from functioning properly. When chronic fatigue sets in, aggravated by daily stress, your complexion becomes dull, your hair and nails break or become lifeless, your mood fluctuates and your morale is low, you experience headaches, your sleep is disturbed, you feel bloated, or your bowel movements are unbalanced, perhaps you need a detox cleanse to give yourself a good clean-up.

We need to give our body a little boost to help it function better.
Note: A detox is not a restrictive diet or a depressing regimen. A detox program allows you to reconnect with your body, rediscover your natural hunger and satiety cues, and return to a healthy, natural, and delicious diet. Detox programs can sometimes help you lose a few extra pounds.
Many foods possess detoxifying properties thanks to their purifying or draining effects, such as lemon, certain herbs consumed as herbal teas, and many vegetables (asparagus, artichoke, leek, black radish, etc.) consumed as juice, in soup, or simply steamed. Algae (spirulina, chlorella, etc.) are also beneficial for effectively purifying our bodies. Dietary supplements made from plants, algae, or organic foods are available, and we can potentially undertake a detox program to help us properly complete our detox.
Detox menu: what to eat?
Plenty of fruits and vegetables, fish, soups, creamy soups, and herbal teas form the basis of a detox cleanse. However, let's keep in mind that a true detox relies on a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet every day!
Detoxifying our body is just as important for maintaining good health as eating properly or exercising. It's about cleansing your body to start fresh. It allows you to:
-Better resistance to diseases,
-To be in better shape,
-To have clearer and brighter skin,
-To have more restful sleep,
-Lose a few extra kilos.
Good vegetables (choose seasonal ones, of course):

Our recipe: Lemon detox water.
In the morning, on an empty stomach, mix the juice of three freshly squeezed lemons with 400ml of lukewarm water. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger and pour in two tablespoons of maple syrup or liquid honey, which are rich in minerals.
Detox recipe: Carrot, orange and lemon juice
Peel the carrots, oranges, and lemon. If using a slow juicer (recommended), chop your fruits and vegetables into pieces and process them to extract the juice, including the turmeric and, if desired, the ginger and pineapple. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Stir well before drinking, as the juice may separate.
Detox recipe: Cream of asparagus soup.
Peel a potato and cut it into small cubes. Cover it with water and cook for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, peel your asparagus and add them to the broth. Continue cooking for another 20 minutes, then blend. Your creamy soup is ready!
Detox recipe: Apple and beetroot salad.
Dice the apples and beets, and finely chop half an onion. Prepare the dressing by mixing the juice of one lemon, a drizzle of olive or rapeseed oil, and parsley. Serve chilled!
Good detox :-)
